Effective Teamwork – Holy Grail or realistic aim?
Teams are like Ferrari’s; they can be wonderful ride and produce amazing results but to keep operating at their best they need regular attention. In today’s business environment the challenges facing team members and managers are numerous; globalisation, digital disruption, increasing competition, consumer power, employee disengagement and South Africa has its own particular issues to contend with such as transformation. To counteract these outside pressures organisations continue to develop structural ways to optimize team effectiveness; virtual teams, matrix structures, project based work and agile methodologies. And still the search goes on – why don’t these solutions always deliver what organisations expect or need? What is the answer? Are we all searching for a holy grail that doesn’t exist?
Join CONTRACT SA to discuss, share ideas and collaborate on one of the pressing issues facing organisatons and their development today, including
- Team Development practices and their place in the OD practitioners playbook;
- Different approaches to strengthening teams – analytical, experiential, discursive, and self-reflective.
- Sharing and exploration of current team challenges and experiences and how to approach them
- And to continue the theme of the year – What does transformation do to and for teams?; what do teams do to and for transformation?
The team from CONTRACT will share their experiences of team issues, challenges and how they approached them; as well as highlighting the range of methodologies that are available to ‘fix broken teams’, kick start new ones, or strengthen average ones.
